You must wait a month after getting lip fillers to have lip blushing done.
If you are prone to cold sores you must see your doctor for a prescribed antiviral to take at least 1 week prior and 1 week after getting your lips tattooed.
If you don’t this procedure could trigger an outbreak that will affect healing.
This is very important and is very easy to avoid.
BROWS
Discomfort will be minimal if at all and should subside within 24 hrs.
You can take a Tylenol pain reliever if needed.
Its best not to drink alcohol for 24 hours before and after.
The first 1-5 days the tattooed eyebrows will be a little, bolder, bigger and darker.
This is normal, don't panic. This will lighten and shrink as the skin starts to heal and shed.
Thats where your part comes in, please follow all directions for the best possible outcome.
Please gently clean the tattooed area by using a damp cotton round or paper towel, gently pat/blot brow area, and then pat/blot dry, 4-6 times a day the first few days ( most especially the first 24 hours) Do not rub.
You want to keep the area clean and dry. The skin is open and you do not want to risk infection.
Please do allow anything to come into contact with the brows. Hair, hats etc.
Please sleep on our back using a clean pillowcase.
Apply aftercare morning and night , just a rice sized amount is recommended. We want the area to be able to breathe.
After 24 hours you may start using a gentle cleanser on the brow area, very gently with clean fingertips. Cetaphyl is a great example of a light cleanser. Do not rub.
Avoid direct water on the area shower, bath, pools, oceans, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga etc for two weeks. — keep out of the sun, it will fade your tattoo. (after you are all healed please use sunscreen!)
Light exercise only, no sweating as it will push the pigment out.
You can shower and wash your face as normal but avoid getting any direct water, shampoo, soap etc on the area for 2 weeks.
During the initial healing period there might be scabbing and flaking of the skin. Please do not pick or peel skin, it can pull out pigment, which will affect the final outcome of your tattoo. Allow the scabs or flakes to come off on their own. If ithe area is itchy (normal as the skin heals) do not scratch, if you gently tap the area with clean fingertips the urge to itch should subside.
No makeup, creams, Neosporin, Vaseline, or any petroleum based products. The drier the tattoo heals the better, more crisp the lines are and less pigment can spread or dilute.
For the month after the procedure- Do not laminate, bleach, tint, dye, waxing, thread or get hair removal in the area. No injections for two weeks.
The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks. During this process, your tattoo will soften and lighten maybe even disappear and then come back. You'll see the true color at around 6 weeks and any additions or adjustments can be done at your touchup (perfecting) appointment.
Avoid peels. lasers, microdermabrasion on the tattooed area.
LIPS
Discomfort will be minimal and your lips may be slightly swollen for 24-48 hours.
You can take a Tylenol pain reliever if needed.
The color will be very intense for about 5 days ( you can hide behind your mask )
This initial color is temporary and it will fade 30-50% .
The color changes ALOT during the healing process. Complete healing takes 4-8 weeks.
DAY 1- Gently clean your lips every 1-2 hours with lukewarm water on a cotton round or by letting lukewarm water run over your lips ( the running water feels nice)
Pat dry with a tissue or paper towel. Apply aftercare to keep your lips moisturized.
DAY 2-3 - Clean every 2-3 hours. Apply aftercare to keep your lips moisturized.
Do not pick your scabs or peel off hanging skin.
Picking and peeling could ruin your color deposit (heal uneven) and could possible cause scarring. Lips are very delicate.
Stay out of pools, oceans, saunas, hot tubs, etc during healing
No lipstick (makeup on lips) for two weeks
No heavy working out (sweating) for a week.
Avoid spicy food for at least 48 hours.
Avoid direct sun as much as you can to prolong the life of your tattoo.
After about 5-7 days your lips should be surface healed and showing a much lighter color.
Now we wait for the color to do its thing.... you should see the true color in about 30 days.
